Pictured here is the original Ford service tool 5-Z-1900 used by dealers to remove and install the 1-3/8 inch front crankshaft pulley ratchet bolt.
This wrench has a low profile box end to fit inside the pulley, and a deep offset to pass around the pulley sheave. This wrench can be used with the engine in the car.
Many restorers today use a 1/2 inch drive deep metric socket slightly larger than 1-3/8 inch and a socket extension passing through the crank guide to access the bolt while the engine is in the car.
