Throttle Control Assemblies

The image above is from the 2011 Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards, and shows the variations and evolution of the Throttle Control Assembly as portrayed in the RGJS.

Concern about accuracy of the Judging Standards Style 2 illustration and various timing dates in the Judging Standards led to further research at the Benson Ford Research Center into the design progression of the Throttle Control Assemblies. That research is on-going and not yet complete.

The following content describes the actual progression of design changes of the major variations of the Throttle Control Assemblies and their optional constructions noted on the original drawings.

RGJS Style 1 ~ Forged steel, ribbed cross section, square design bracket.
