Shown above is the Instruction Book for the Fordson Model AAB Two Tons Truck. Though this book is undated, it can be determined to be from 1932 due to the vehicle serial number location on the flywheel housing rather than on the engine. 1932 was the only year for this number location during British A and B Ford production. Additionally this book is prior to the introduction of the full floating rear axle.
The Model AAB Two Tons trucks were built at Ford Dagenham beginning in 1932 and featured the Ford USA Model BB body and chassis design. These new Model BB style trucks were marketed under the Fordson name. The earlier Model AA body design trucks continued to be produced in Great Britain under the Ford nameplate through 1936.
These Model AAB trucks were built with a 24 HP (RAC) Model B engine, four speed transmission, and 3/4 floating rear axle.
Additionally, these trucks were all right hand drive models.
Note the vehicle serial number location on the flywheel housing, a 1932 only characteristic in Great Britain.
